St. Anne's Park, Raheny, Co. Dublin

St Anne’s Park in the north side of Dublin covers almost 110 hectares and was originally part of the estate of the Guinness family (of Guinness brewing fame).

It is now owned and managed by the Dublin City Council which acquired the land in l936.

St. Anne's contains one of the finest rose gardens in Europe and each summer a celebrated Rose Festival is held here. The name of the park is celebrated in a famous rose. The Guinness family grew many roses and Rosa ‘Souvenir de St Anne’s’ arose as a sport on R. ‘Souvenir de la Malmaison’.
